TaxiController Driver is a certified professional taximeter app trusted by thousands of taxi drivers and companies worldwide. Approved by the U.S. National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM Certificate #24-053), it replaces expensive hardware metering systems with a software-based solution that's ready to use immediately.

High-accuracy GPS and OBD-based fare calculation power the app's metering engine. Since 2011, the app has been continuously updated with 200 ready-to-use tariffs covering 50 countries. Setup is straightforward—tariffs are automatically selected based on your location and time of day. You can also create custom tariffs or modify existing ones in minutes without any technical knowledge.

The app offers three distinct operating modes to fit different taxi operations. In Local Mode, independent drivers and passengers can monitor trips with full fare transparency. Simply tap "For Hire" to start—the app auto-selects the nearest applicable tariff from 200 presets, or you can manually override if needed. The metering system handles complex tariff logic including flag fall, waiting time, slow-traffic adjustments, zone crossovers, rounding rules, and more. It works reliably even in tunnels or during GPS loss. You can add extras as percentages or flat amounts, calculate fares in advance with automatic toll inclusion, and generate passenger receipts with VAT support. The app integrates with payment processors like SumUp, Worldline, and Zettle. Voice announcements guide trips, and fare display remains visible in the background—a legal requirement in many jurisdictions. The first 25 trips are free to try.

Login Mode is built for taxi companies managing fleets. Drivers log in and out while all settings remain locked and controlled centrally through the taximeter-gps.com portal. Managers gain real-time visibility into car usage, idle trips, shift duration, and driver activity. Odometer readings are captured automatically at login and logout. Detailed reports cover trips, idle time, shift logs, income, and expenses—all stored securely for audits and tax compliance. Credit card payments are supported via Square, and tariff assistance is available on request.

Dispatching Mode is a complete ride-hailing platform operational within hours. Manage your fleet via a web portal: assign vehicles, drivers, tariffs, vehicle types, and promo codes. Passengers request rides through the companion Passenger App. Pre-registered credit card payments process through Stripe. Control driver payouts, track earnings, and access online dashboards with exportable reports. Your login credentials work across all dispatch configuration.
